Alison Thibault of WindHorse Arts, a fused glass shop at 50 E Main on Vinalhaven, is thrilled to announce a special collaboration with Hilary Crowell of The Cultivated Thread, a handweaving studio based in Wiscasset, ME. Crowell will pop-up at Windhorse Arts on August 6th and 7th from 11-4. Beyond shopping from and supporting Maine artists, this event promises to be an enriching experience for the community, offering an opportunity to talk with Crowell about her weaving practice, her journey from farmer to weaver, and the value of functional art. Crowell and Thibault met in 2020 through online workshops offered by CEI’s Women’s Business Center. They kept in touch through and beyond the Covid lockdown offering business support to each other. They are thrilled to invite you to join them for this exciting in person pop up on Vinalhaven.
